Michellem74 Posted March 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Hello! I read that with FTTF you can choose a later disembarkation, how late can you actually stay on the ship? Forever would be nice ;p
johno1234 Posted March 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Heh yeah. I got FTTF to get on faster. Not in any great hurry to get off. Would like to spend some more Cheers! and eat some more bacon first.
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted March 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2017 While forever would be nice, there is a whole group of folks waiting for you to get off so they can get on. I would say everyone is off by 10-1030.
Anthomaniac Posted March 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2017 You can stay until last call. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
beachbum53 Posted March 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2017 I think about 10:00 a.m. is when someone comes around with a big push broom to get the last stragglers off of the ship, so that those waiting to embark can start their vacation. Davey Wavey Posted March 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2017 They will announce when all groups have been called. Sometimes they will actually say, "Last call." You can exit then. Almost every cruise, we leave at last call. Times will vary depending on ship size and port. My experience has been, if everything is going smoothly, 10:30 for the Destiny-class ships in Florida ports, and 11:15 for the Dream-class. Our latest disembark was 12:30 in Port Canaveral because a customs problem caused disembark to begin at 10am.
easyboy Posted March 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2017 You don't need FTTF to disembark at 10am.

bnorris10 Posted March 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2017 Soooo question what is the point of staying late on the boat? Nothing is open except food so what do you do?
Michellem74 Posted March 23, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted March 23, 2017 Soooo question what is the point of staying late on the boat? Nothing is open except food so what do you do? It's not that we want anything to do, it's that I don't want to hurry up and get off if I don't have to. It was just an inquiry...
Michellem74 Posted March 23, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted March 23, 2017 Thanks all, I should have worded the question differently to read: It states you can choose a later disembarkation, but what's the difference in how late you can stay on vs. if you don't purchase the program? It seems like there is no difference, so thank you.

If you have time to kill, would you rather do it on the ship or at your gate at the airport? Sent from my XT1254 using Forums mobile app

cganesh Posted March 24, 2017 #15 Share Posted March 24, 2017 If we don't have to rush to airport or don't have an excursion planned, we just check out of cabin when requested, have a leisurely breakfast and then find a nice comfortable place to sit. One cruise we were some of the last off and went downstairs when staff made their rounds looking for stragglers. We were in San Juan where you can't check bags at most airlines until 2 hrs before flight and there is nowhere but the floor at the airport to sit and wait. We were way more comfortable waiting on the ship since we had already done everything we wanted to do in Old San Juan.

We're leaving out on NOLA and flights don't leave until 2 so depending on how the morning looks we'll either disembark early or take our sweet time. cajunfla Posted March 24, 2017 #18 Share Posted March 24, 2017 How do you choose a later disembarkation? Sent from my iPhone using Forums I would assume you simply don't get off the ship until ready, or last call, and then be a straggler for that. Someone has to be last. Hehehe
easyboy Posted March 24, 2017 #19 Share Posted March 24, 2017 How do you choose a later disembarkation? Just sit back and relax, then get off when everyone has done so.
