Going to Bermuda with our 1.5 year old on the Breakaway in September.

Here are the things I would like to do and I know we can't do them all. Now, when I am asking about transportation, I want to know the best/fastest way, we are traveling with a 1.5 year old and I don't want to deal with switching buses, etc...

St. George

Crystal Caves

St Catherine's beach/fort

Tom Moore's Jungle

Horseshoe Bay

Snorkel Park in dockyard

Horseshoe bay

My thoughts were the following:

1st day:

Ferry to St George - walk around

Option 1 - St Catherine's beach -

is there chair or umbrella rental here?

best way to get to St Catherine's beach? I have read about minibuses?? How do they work?

Option 2 - Crystal Caves

what is the best way to get to Crystal Caves from St. George?

Would you do Crystal Cave or St. Catherine's beach? Or Tobacco bay?

2nd day -

Stay in dockyard in the morning and do snorkel park in dockyard

(figuring maybe this day would be less crowded because we have an entire day in Bermuda and most will venture out)

If we feel like it

Ferry to Hamilton in the afternoon

3rd day

Taxi to horseshoe bay

(we are hoping it will be less crowded because most will stay close to dockyard as boat is departing this day)

What do you all think... I am pretty set in the 2nd and 3rd day, but really unsettled with our first day in Bermuda.

Skip the caves with a 1.5 year old. Unless you're prepared to carry him/her up/down steps in a cave.

I'd also skip Snorkel Park. Go to Horseshoe Bay instead.

Ok, check, no caves for us.

Why skip snorkel park beach? Any reason? Figured it is easy as it is right in the dockyard. Would you then do 2 days at horseshoe bay?

I agree skip the caves. 88 steps down and up. St. George's do Tobacco Bay. There are chair rentals and facilities at Tobacco and the water is shallow. Very suitable for the little one. St. Catherine's beach has no rentals or facilities.

Best/fastest way to tobacco bay, doesn't have to be the cheapest.

Ferry to St. George's. Then a taxi to Tobacco Bay from either the ferry terminal or the town square. A taxi won't be that expensive, and only take a few minutes from either, as the distance is not that far. I usually walk it in about 15 minutes.

Well, I'm not a beach person to begin with, so I'd be skipping both.

Snorkel Park is a man made beach at the Dockyard. Doesn't truly represent Bermuda. If you are going to do a beach, I'd do Horseshoe.

Thank you - I will definitely be going to horseshoe one of the days!!!
