mchittum0907 Posted April 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2017 How early are port arrival times posted on your online check in? We really want an 11 am arrival time for our cruise in October but we can't find anywhere to pick an arrival time on our check-in page. Thanks all! teknoge3k Posted April 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2017 It may be too early, I am not sure. I know ours for our May cruising wasn't available until last month.
cruisinqt Posted April 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2017 We booked ours 8 months out and it showed up immediately for us. But I remember it being very easy to miss during check in. And very hard to find later on when I wanted to check and make sure I'd picked a time.
maryred Posted April 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2017 When the ability to pick your Check-in time is port and ship dependent. At some ports for certain ships the time is available as soon as the cruise is scheduled. While for a different itinerary at the same port (even if the same ship), it might not be an option until the harbor pilots schedule is worked out 45-70 days before departure. Also earliest pick me vary significantly due to the ship's estimated return time from the previous cruise. Like right now for most cruises leaving Baltimore on the Pride, the earliest check-in time is noon till 12:30pm. This is due to the ship having a tide related docking time, and for the remainder of 2017 it looks as if 10 am is the earliest she is docking. Shaded Lady Posted April 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2017 I heard here on Cruise Critic recently that Carnival has changed the staggered check in process so that it will only be available about 3 months prior to your cruise. Those of us who had already booked our check in times are okay, but new cruises they're apparently holding off until closer to your sailing date. mchittum0907 Posted April 1, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted April 1, 2017 Thank you all so much! I'm probably too early. I will keep checking back especially at 3 months before the cruise [emoji847] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
