Embarkation / Disembarkation - Med Cruise

Since MSC has passengers embark and disembark at each port on the Mediterranean itinerary, I would like to know what people's experience has been on this. In US, everyone embarks and disembarks at the same place.

We will start and end at Naples. I need to figure out when to have the shuttle pick us up from the port. How long does it take to go through customs.

Thanks!

It depends how many people are leaving the ship in Naples. We docked at Cagliari at 9am on Tuesday and were completely off with luggage by 10:15.

We didn't have to go through any kind of customs/passport check. I assume that is all handled by MSC. But then we are (just about) EU citizens and I guess that makes things a lot easier.

All your ports are in the EU so there is no customs/immigration. You get that when you get off the plane in the US. EM

I realize they are part of the EU. Just did not know that no customs/immigration is required, especially for non-EU citizens. Thank you for the info!
