Preferred Deck on Allure?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! We are sailing on the Allure of the Seas (First RCCL Cruise ever!) and was curious if there is a preferred deck for an Oceanview Balcony cabin... we are currently reserved for the 11th deck mid ship but wasn't sure if we should try to get closer to Central Park area or not... thoughts? Tips? TIA!!

Thanks, Clarea. It doesn't get too loud/busy by the cabins?

No, those staterooms are separated from Central Park by a wall. You really don't even know you are next to Central Park except when you are in the stair/elevator lobbies.

We prefer deck 12, we spent a lot of time in the pool and the Windjammer and other activities on the pool deck and we like to keep a 1 deck buffer between us and the pool. A lot of people find deck 8 where the Central park is more centrally located verticially. We have no problems with steps to we stay up higher. Mid ship is good. If you come out of a show and the elevators are busy, you can walk to the other end of the ship and take an elevator there.

We have always been on Deck 8 and loved it. Next time on Oasis we are trying a boardwalk view aft cabin (deck 11) to be able to enjoy the shows from our balcony and almost have a true aft cabin. Not as much privacy but should be a fun spot.

We also like Deck 8.

Hi. We are booked on Deck 6, Boardwalk deck, which is a deck above the Promenade and two decks below Central Park on Oasis. We have three hump cabins towards the front and an inside across the hall for August 2018. I thought that would be a great location and had many agree on CC since we will be spending our evenings in the bars and casino as well as a quick flight down for morning coffee.

Can I please ask why Deck 8 may be better? Should I move to Deck 8? My cabins are on the hump so I won't have the lifeboats as a distraction but is Deck 8 better than 6 with Central Park? There are 11 in our group. My family of four with kids 20 and 24, my 72 year old mom and my sister's family with three boys under 13.

Thanks so much!

I just got off the oasis and was midship port side on deck 6. My husband and I loved the location. We booked allure for 2018 and went for deck 6 again, but this time on the starboard side (if the allure ends up always docking on the port side I'm going to be annoyed!!). I'd say put and not worry :)

Stay with deck 6! You're within 2 decks of the theater, the skating rink, the casino, the clubs, the dining room, the promenade, the spa, the boardwalk, and central park! I doubt any other deck is that close to that many public areas.

We're booked in a forward hump cabin on Deck 9. Sounds great to me. Actually, as long as I'm in a balcony cabin on a cruise ship at sea, sandwiched between decks with cabins, I'm going to love it. After all, I will be on a CRUISE!

As for convenience to places on the ship, not a big factor for me. I make myself take the stairs on cruises to work off those extra calories I'll be taking in from (over) eating and from more than my usual number of adult beverages.

Five or six decks up via the stairs? No problem, 'cuz I'm loving where I'm at and where I'm going. Far from elevators? Even if my cabin were, that's okay. I kinda like the walks down those LONG hallways. They remind me I'm on a cruise and having the time of my life.

Thanks everyone! Now I'm learning our cabin is an adjoining room cabin but has the slightly larger/angled balcony... I don't know if that balcony is worth giving up the sofa and more privacy bc of the adjoining door inside the cabin [emoji46][emoji848]
