Jason12 Posted April 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2017 Learned something new yesterday while booking for next year, I was looking online as we do and pricing up cruises on the Cunard website, but when I rang my travel agent she comes back with a cheaper price?! It seems if you put your loyalty number in when doing a booking online it show any discount if applicable...I never knew. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rare david,Mississauga Posted April 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2017 That doesn't always work on our side of the pond. We usually need to enter the discount code. However, in late 2015 and I believe early 2016 there was an apparently unadvertised special for "previous guests." So just entering the membership number gave a huge discount. For our voyage, instead of asking our travel agent to get us the lower fare we upgraded to Britannia Club for a modest fare difference. We have a friend who had booked a crossing in Princess Grill and he was able to save about Can. $3000.
majortom10 Posted April 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2017 If you use a specialist cruise TA they are usually cheaper than booking direct with Cunard anyway they give you a small discount out of their commission.

She must be happy with what's left and she does the same on P&O :) I'm not complaining, but I do send her a lot of new customers mainly from our disabled FB group..
