MIcruiseguy Posted April 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2017 We are looking at the Carnival Splendor 8 day on October 14th. 8C/8D vs 8N Empress or Verandah, is one better than the other? Just wondering if the aft facing balcony would be too noisy with the aft pool above it. 8E Lido vs 8P Panoramic, Wondering if the Spa balcony is worth the extra money and would the spa above be noisy? Also is the Panoramic balconies covered on the Splendor? Any insight would be much appreciated.:D:confused:

I vote for Lido, but I'm partial to them. We booked Lido balconies on 14 of our 21 Carnival cruises. Six of the remaining seven were Spirit class and Paradise, which don't have any Lido cabins. The seventh was Destiny. I booked an aft wrap for my mom and me. (First and only.) It's a great location. We sailed Splendor with friends at the end of February. Three of them had never had a Lido balcony before and were amazed at how convenient it was. Two other people were in a suite on deck 7 and wished they had booked Lido with us. mikel24m Posted April 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2017 I would do a spa balcony for sure! Very quiet area and very close to the spa to use all the different steam rooms and thalasso pool. Sometimes we use it two times a day and it's so relaxing after a day at port or before dinner Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Forums mobile app
riffatsea Posted April 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2017 We have booked our first spa balcony cabin for our Mexican Riviera cruise in March. We were a bit leery about being up so high on deck 10 but DH said ,"Let's go for it" as the spa privileges make it sound really lovely! We are looking forward to using the spa for soaking and relaxing.

threadcrapper Posted April 15, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Spa decks on Splendor are the greatest - just got off the Splendor and stayed in 1039 - the steam rooms rocked, easy access to everywhere, nice and quiet
