We will be on the Jewel in May. It will be our last cruise as Diamond before becoming Diamond Plus for our next cruise. My question is about perks.

 

Will there be shampoo, etc. in our cabin or will we need to ask for it? Do Diamond/Diamond Plus have nice shampoo supplied? I'm planning to use the pump soap to wash undies.

Just returned from doing a B2B (2 April and 9 April) on the Jewel. We were in a D1 balcony (9060) and there was no shampoo (pump) dispenser in our cabin shower. The mounting bracket was still there for the dispenser. Plenty of Soap disks, shampoo, conditioner and moisturizers were supplied. We always bring our own shampoo, conditioner and moisturizers.

Friday Night

 

Headed to JFK at 6:15 pm for an 8:00 pm direct flight to San Juan. No check in or TSA Pre issues. Sure wish it was going to be a 777

 

 

But settled for a 737

 

 

Surprisingly good dinner - pasta with garlic artichoke sauce

 

 

Mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert

 

 

$22 dollar taxi ride to the Hyatt Place - Didn't remember the gas fee in the past

Windjammer is closed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Opened 20 mins later to find only 1 food station open???? (will explain in summary)

A quick inter post- we were on this cruise, too.

 

We had a great time- but many events were not done- no Love & Marriage as the big one. And I'd call the Quest abbreviated- mostly because many of the crowd did not participate.

 

All in all- it was more a relaxing cruise vs. a crazy 3 night party cruise. Very few kids that we noted.

 

We booked this kind of at the last moment- so that we also could visit relatives in Puerto Rico- so we came Thursday to spend the weekend with them. Perfect for a quick trip.

We did a 180 and backed into Port Zante next to Adventure

$16 taxi to The Carambola Beach Club

Liquid Sunshine thinned out the crowds, but $5 Mount Gay and cokes and good food still made it a good beach day

 

 

 

 

Back to the ship for around 4pm for the Adventure departure at 5pm
