Best month for South Pacific

Hi, we are looking at two cruises to the South Pacific islands from Sydney which are end of Jan or March.

Is there much difference in weather for these two months

We are also contemplating a cruise out of Sydney to Fiji in the middle of January and are wondering the same.

 

Any info would be gratefully received.

Vanuatu , for example ,Been close to the equator has a uniform temp Feb the warmest 27 C and Aug 23 C the cooler, so its not the temp but the rain Nov to Apr is the Wet / Cyclone season :eek: Not to worry about Cyclones they are slow moving and ships avoid them like a Cyclones ;p

I would not go in January. Mid summer will be hot, humid with probably rain every day. March is better, but April would be even better.

Totally agree. If you don't like high humidity it would be best to go in March.

More Cyclones around March; But no kids on the boat. January full of families. March has cheaper cruises. Been once in Jan only to Tassie was fine. But been last 3 Marchs with Massive storms on 2 cruises. This year & 2 years ago. I do prefer March. Save the money & less kids. I can handle the weather. :=)

Cyclones are highly unpredictable, the latest Fiji has had one is early June.

Went on Voyager of the Seas 14 day South Pacific cruise departed 5th January. I couldn't fault the cruise. Family atmosphere with holiday feeling. Weather was great.
