Just off breakaway

We had a excellent time on the breakaway... We stayed in Haven spa room 14732 - Room was roomy no issues with gym noise and had a great view from out balcony. Out Butler Peter was excellent and very helpful. Even with 1500+ kids on the boat I never felt overwhelmed or that it was over crowded with kids. The last 2 days they were running around and playing games in the elevator still was not a major issue. Pool did get crowded but we were always able to go for a swim or sit on the side and have a drink. Food was excellent Moderno Churrascaria was up first since I always wanted to eat at a Brazilian steak house, we were not impressed the meat was not flavored that good. I enjoyed the salad bar though! Cagney's was excellent, steak was on point and staff was great. Teppanyaki was so much fun and out chef was entertaining and the food was amazing. Probably the best show I have been to. Manhattan room and taste menu was almost identical, the steaks were over cooked a rubbery. Would go back to either. The buffet was surprisingly good! Many options some good some great! and some bad. The pushing and crowd was out of hand at times but wasn't enough to keep us away. I saved the best for last the Haven restaurant for dinner was soooo good, lunch and breakfast also! Haven all around is worth the money if you can swing it. The staff the amenities make it worth every cent.

I wrote this on my phone so any questions reach out! We are already thinking about our next cruise!!

How crowded was the Haven pool? Should we get Vibe passes or will we be able to get chairs and hot tub space? On the BA June 11. First time on BA. Thx in advance!

The problem with the have pool is the size it's only 3 feet and 2 or 3 kids in it loooked tight, personally I never went in it. However I did use the sun deck often. Plenty of chairs and peaceful for when you want to kick back and relax. We had the spa as well we used it often but not everyday. Was able to get inot the hot tob and was alone plenty of times including mid day.

Cool! We also got spa passes. Thanks for the insight. Glad you had a great trip. Look forward to hearing more!

Welcome back, BA surely got home in a hurry, tracking had her docked at the pier just past 4 AM local time (I watched her on ship's live webcam around 2:30 AM)

What time did they started VIP escorted walk off and priority self walk-off this morning ? How was it going thru CBP inside the building - we sometimes used porter services for fast track ?

Any news or update on ship's internet ? Has BA switched to the new 3-tiers plan ? TIA.

Hey!!! So few things happened this trip. Let me start with great sterip bay water was to ruff so we went straight to Nassau . They credited the excursions eimmediatly was great ! I'd say about 11ish am on Saturday captain Mike announced medical emergency and they had to get back to NY port in a hurry to the sick passenger medical assistance . Haven self walk out meaning taking your own luggage started 7:30am and checked luggage was suppose to start at 8:30 but they started us at 8ish and I was in my car by 8:30, I grabbed a porter and we bypassed the customs lines the whole process was easier then going to a corner store .

Thanks, Chrisp2017 for that quick summary including GSC, we are scheduled to be there in a little over 2 weeks with the GEM, fingers crossed, to check out the new island enhancement - had missed it twice before, knowing the odds ... safety first vs. rocking & rolling just to get onto those double decker tenders.

Hopefully, the high speed/fast run back to NY was good for the pax with medical emergency - it's common for NCL's ships to arrive back around 6 or 7 AM but not to be at the foothills off the VZB at 3 AM for a 4 AM docking, except a code run. Sounded that MCT is well oiled with precisions even when it's mostly beyond NCL's span of control. We've got off with priority tags & dropped off by car service in front of our driveway at 9:30 AM, just never in a hurry to come off. Thanks again.

So it looks like I just won a bid for a H5 Haven suite so I can start asking questions. Regarding checked luggage in the Haven, do you still put your luggage out the night before?

Also did you notice you received the upgrade before NCL told you? If so, how long did it take NCL to tell you and update your edocs/luggage tags? Thanks!

Congrats !! You can put your luggage out or carry it yourself . If you choice self walkout you will be heading off around 7:30. If you put it out the night before around 8:30. I put it out since we packed heavy lol. I was notified Monday around 11am and cruise was for the following Sunday did not know prior to that
