Transferring NCL reservation to an online TA

Can anyone think of a downside to transferring a reservation from NCL to an online site? We have never transferred a booking before and I need input before doing it. Thanks in advance.

Are you asking simply about the transferring or the using of an online TA? Haven't transferred a booking before, but just be sure you are away of any booking, change, or cancellation fees the TA may impose above and beyond NCL's fees.

I've done it every time and the only downside I've experienced is having to pay the balance a couple of weeks earlier.

I did it last week and saved £400 and the terms are exactly as they were when I booked direct with NCL. Make sure the TA allow you to pay NCL direct when your final payment is due so you are protected if TA goes out of business.

Also if it is important to you, check to see if they have opted in or out of the upgrade advantage program.

this and also if you have any questions about your booking, you will have talk to the TA first. NCL will not help you with any booking questions.

We booked the Escape for next March while on the Getaway the week of 4/2. Three days after we got home I called my TA who took over the booking and I saved over $700 (he is always cheaper)...same cabins, same perks, same use of double cruise next deposits.

Thanks for your input. I have transferred both of our b2b cruises with savings, additional perks, and additional OBC. Kept everything in the original booking including our cabins and perks.
