Att smart phone on Carnival Breeze

Just the basic questions. I plan on getting the $20 day Carnival internet package. How much does Att charge for calls? Is reception mostly at ports? I'll put phone in airplane mode unless I wanna make a call. Does Snapchat work good. I called using Snapchat for a week in Cancun. Free Everytime. Any advice would be great

AT&T has a cruise package...$60.00 for 59 min of talk and 100 texts...I've used this plan often (Alaska & Caribbean) and it's always worked great for my needs at sea or on land...I also get the unlimited wifi onboard for my laptop (no iPhone) usually $8.99 per day

Thanks. The Carnival Breeze is the only one that has the Edge feature. Wonder what that is

When onboard you'll be calling thru Cellular at Sea @$2.49/minute. Calling from your cabin costs $1.99/minute, no charge for busy or unanswered calls.

Wow...I'm surprised since the AT&T package is available on RCI and a few other cruiselines I just assumed it would be on Carnival too. Wonder why it's not ?

There is not a $20 per day plan ... the value plan is $16 per day and the premium plan is $25 per day. Snapchat should be supported on either of those plans, but not on the social media plan. If you want to make calls, I would recommend using either Facebook Messenger or Whatsapp for that, both supported by either plan above, and will not cost you extra.
