Cash

Another question: We will be bringing about $600 in cash (to pay for excursions and such). So my husband isn't stuck traveling with a wad of cash, will the ship be able to change out $100's for smaller bills?

Definitely. In fact, the Sail & Sign kiosks will also make change for you. If Guest Services is hesitant (as another poster suggested), feed them into a slot machine and then go to the cashier cage, cash out, and ask for $20s, etc. (Just be sure you have your S&S card in the slot machine. They are all ticketless. When you hit cash out, the money gets loaded to your casino account on your S&S card.)

For ones that carry cash how do you get through the airport security with it?

Unless you're carrying massive amounts (like over $10K), you should have no issues.

You can't physically carry it through the scanner (unless you are TSA Precheck and go through a normal Xray machine vs. the high-tech scanner), but you can put it in your bag and send it down the belt.
