Emptynesternow Posted April 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Looking at the photos of the cabins on Celebrity sailings...the bed looks curved at the foot....my husband is 6'2" and previous had issues with a short bed on NCL....can you give me any insight on this? We love to cruise and a short bed...again...will be a no go for him. Thank you
merlin5353 Posted April 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2017 I'm 6'4" and, after 18 Celebrity cruises, I can say I'm ok with it. Just untuck the comforter and he'll have no problems. Towards the center it's longer than a queen mattress. BTW, the mattress curves at the corner, mainly.

cruising in mn Posted April 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Looking at the photos of the cabins on Celebrity sailings...the bed looks curved at the foot....my husband is 6'2" and previous had issues with a short bed on NCL....can you give me any insight on this? We love to cruise and a short bed...again...will be a no go for him. Thank you I'm 5"11 and its ok. Husbands 6'1 and its a bit short for him. But he's a wiggler. They curve at the ends so you can walk around them in the cabin. We have ours split, so we both can stay more towards the edge thats not curved, and it works out better for us that way then if the beds remain together and we're both vying for the longer middle portion. eandj Posted April 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2017 DH is 6 ft 1 and has never mentioned a problem. Guess if he slept perfectly flat, instead of on his sides or spread out, he might notice.

cb at sea Posted April 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Your husband will be fine. No worries. Taller men than he have sailed without the dreaded "hanging feet" issue.
Bytor62 Posted April 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I'm 6'5" and have been on Solstice twice and Reflection twice. Not a problem at all!!
Alatraveler1 Posted April 28, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Recently on NCL EPIC and bed was quite short. At 6 feet, i really didn't like the rounded beds but made them suitable in several ways. For instance, make sure your pillows are at the very top, untuck comforter as has been said and an even better one. Even thought they are fairly heavy, i found i could pull the bed frame further away from the wall and out from under the headboard, giving me just enough room. Maybe those beds will be the same?
