PCWalton1 Posted May 13, 2017 Author #351 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Bill - I think I see the Boardwalk Doghouse in one of your pics, Have you tried anything there yet? Have you heard any comments, good or bad, yet? I'm curious if that might be an option fpr lunch some day. The Cruise Compass says it is open 11am to 6pm but every time we have gone by it was closed Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

It is deep enough to hold loungers, just didn't think to ask. [emoji14] Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

hapster85 Posted May 13, 2017 #358 Share Posted May 13, 2017 We got tickets on tender boat #2. Grabbing a quick bite of breakfast in Windjammer before heading out. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk Great pictures! Thanks for sharing your journey so far. Hawaii is on our list, just don't know when we'll finally make it. Are tender tickets something new they're doing on Radiance? I don't recall any mention of needing them in Alaska a couple of years ago. Or maybe it was because we were in no hurry to get off the ship that morning. There was no line, and we walked right onto a waiting tender. Looks like you have a long stretch of sea days now to just relax. Enjoy!
floatel_lvr Posted May 13, 2017 #359 Share Posted May 13, 2017 As always, great photos! I understand not getting photos of the food -- that is my weakness, as well. I remember halfway through the meal, or not at all. But good memories, nonetheless. I hope you have an amazing 5 days at sea. You're going to continue to post, aren't you, WIFI willing? Again, many thanks!:) Yup, me too. When the food arrives the last thing I am thinking about is taking photos... ;p

Have you heard any comments, good or bad, yet? I'm curious if that might be an option fpr lunch some day. I know Bill will have his own thoughts on Radiance's Doghouse. We have tried it a few times since it was put in during the 2011 dry dock/refurbishment. We have always found both the dogs and the buns to be dried out, and have decided it is because they do not get much business, so the food sits there and dries out. On both Oasis and Allure, the dogs and buns were much fresher, and we enjoyed them. :) Great pictures! Thanks for sharing your journey so far. Radiance has always used tender tickets in Hawaii -- they are needed there, as everyone wants to get off at the same time. on the Lahaina overnight, they are only used on the first port day. On the second port day, the demand evens out a bit, as long as you avoid the 8-10am rush.

I think on previous cruises we had tried the Dog House but I don't even recall what we had so they were not that memorable. As to tender tickets, When we were on Radiance in Alaska last year they did not use tender tickets as we docked inn all ports. No tendering needed. :)

PCWalton1 Posted May 13, 2017 Author #363 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Hello A late morning wake-up up, that's been happening since the sea days started. All that gentle rocking of the ship. We headed to Windjammer for breakfast then it was off to the casino for the slot pull that was organized on our Cruise Critic roll call. We each put in $10 and received five pulls each. It went well as we all won our $10 back. Marie was the top winner and I was 2nd. Marie making that big spin win for about $50. Our booty for being top winners Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

PCWalton1 Posted May 14, 2017 Author #375 Share Posted May 14, 2017 This afternoon we staked out a place in the theater too catch the crew's talent show. I understand several days ago it was a contest with judges. Today was just performances. I don't remember name but I think I got the countries. First was a break dancer from China. Sorry for the dreadful pics. Next up was a team from Indonesia doing a traditional Bali dance Next a young lady from Japan doing Hawaiian dance.
