These parties are not as good as they used to be but if it fits into your schedule go get a free drink or two. If you like to dance there is live music. If you made new friends go socialize. If the crowd is too big and loud for you just turn around and head to a different activity. We enjoy visiting frequent cruisers and having a glass of wine. See you there (or not). It depends on what you value.

You get to meet the officers and have them tell you how happy they are that you are spending your money by sailing on X.

Get a few free drinks and finger food.

They also have the Captain Club party that is basically the same but you get the privilege of being there while they acknowledge the person on the cruise that sailed the most on X and it is usually someone with 150 or more cruises and most times it is someone that you have seen them acknowledge before.

One is normally held in the afternoon on a sea day and the other during the evening.

With all the passengers having drink packages the parties aren't as well attended as they use to be.

Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞

On our cruise they just gave each person six drink tickets for a specific night instead of have a captains cocktail party. We did get lots of chances to meet the officers during the cruise.

Celebrity has a Captains Club host/hostess. You will have a letter from them in your stateroom. You can meet with them to ask questions about your select perks. You can access the Celebrity website to see the list of all select benefits. Terry

On rare occasions you may be invited to a cocktail party for a sail-a-way on the helicopter pad. Wonderful experiences when we sailed out of Stockholm through the archipelago and another time when we sailed out of Geiranger Norway past the seven sisters waterfall - and we were only Select during both events.
