Anthem B2B questions

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We are currently booked on the Anthem 8/31/17 sailing to New England/Canada. We are also booked on on the 9/09/17 sailing to Bermuda.

So my questions are:

1. Parking. How does this work? We drive to the port and park in the onsite parking garage. Do we have to exit the parking garage on turnaround day, pay, then re-enter the parking garage?

2. Turnaround day. How does this work in Bayonne? I have read that it depends on how many B2B cruisers are on board, and have also read that all guest must disembark, then reboard.

3. We are in different cabins. Has anyone experienced how soon the cabin for the second leg is ready, and when might we have access to the cabin?

Can any B2B cruisers shed any light on these issues?

Thanks so much!

Snap!! We're doing the same two b2b's!

Can't help with parking.

In our experience (done turnaround at Cape Liberty before), we will all meet somewhere on the ship (Champagne bar usually) and be escorted off to go through Immigration, then be escorted back on again. You will be able to go to your cabin before 1pm if you want...just say you are doing b2b. If there are enough of us, we might get a free lunch somewhere (had it in Giovanni's on the Oasis).

We're changing cabins too. Done it before...not a problem. Go and find your 'new' steward a few days before and ask them to do your new cabin first. You don't need to pack properly. All clothes on hangers can be transported on them. If you want, the stewards will move everything for you. Personally, we always move ourselves so we don't forget anything. The staff will lend you a hotel trolley to do this if you are going a fair distance.

1. Do not exit the garage on turnaround day. Once you complete your B2B, that's when you enter the garage and you will be charged for all those nights as your ticket will indicate the date you entered the garage.

2. Just came off of a B2B on Anthem :D the process has always been the same. You'll receive a letter in your cabin on the last night that will inform you to meet in Boleros at 10 am. A staff member will be in Boleros and inform you that the ship has to have a 0 count of passengers (excluding the B2B people) before they can walk you off through customs.

Once there is a 0 count the staff member stays with you for the entire B2B process and walks off all the B2B guests, you'll have to go through customs, turn around and and wait for all B2B to complete customs. The staff member will then issue new Sea Pass cards and walk everyone back onto the ship. You will be the first one to board the ship. All B2B guests are welcome to have lunch on the second sailing in Coastal Kitchen which opens at Noon.

3. Also had different cabins at times. A few days before the end of your first sailing, go to Guest Services on Deck 4 to confirm they have you listed as a B2B passenger, inform you current cabin attendant too. Also stop by and see the cabin attendant for your new room on the second sailing and inform them you'll be staying on as they will clean your new room first and it will be ready between 9-9:45 am, so you can move all your things before you meet in Boleros.

We're back on again the second sailing of your B2B :) Have a wonderful cruise, she's our home away from home :D
