Bottomless Bubbles price increase

I wonder if this means Cheers is next....

As of 10 minutes ago, Bottomless Bubbles is still showing as $6.50/day when I look at buying it for one of my cruises. Fortunately, I had already paid for the two of our group that needed it.

 

I did go ahead and purchase my Cheers just in case that is next. For once, it paid to plan ahead!

My cruise for October is still showing 6.50/day as of right now. Good thing if I buy it will be for the kids anyways.

Did you go all the way through to add it in your cart and it still had the old price or just where you can select Bottomless Bubbles or Cheers?

All the way to checkout, shows 52.33 for checkout price, which is the 7 days at 6.50.

Maybe they haven't gotten around to changing it for currently booked cruises yet (or maybe they won't) who knows? I did check the website just now and it is definitely showing the higher price.

 

I would say if anyone is on the fence for a future cruise, go ahead and get it now. Then if you change your mind you can always cancel later.

Like I said maybe they haven't updated it for currently booked cruises. The info I posted is just from Carnival's website and it shows the new, higher price. I didn't try it in an active booking.

That is probably the difference, whether you have an active booking. I would say if you are on the fence, go check NOW before they update those too LOL.

I really wish they would get the Coca-Cola machines. Nothing worse than warm, flat soda from a can. Putting it over a cup of ice does NOTHING for it.

Maybe this is a prelude to them getting the FreeStyle machines? Since they're willing to try it out on a HAL ship, who knows? I'd be HAPPY to pay the new price if they installed those machines.

That's exactly what I was thinking. An additional $1/day won't break me, so to me this is a relative non-event.

If you buy now you pay the lower price and are locked in. They won't add any extra on. But you better hurry. I think it changes at Midnight Miami time!

 

The Cheers package has this disclaimer "Price adjustments (up or down) implemented on the day of sailing will replace any previously advertised price." But I did not see the same for Bottomless Bubbles.

Meaning if you choose to purchase onboard and they decided the price was going to be more or less, then that's what you will pay. If you've already purchased and paid for, you are not going to be charged more. Same as if you locked in gratuities by prepaying and they go up, you will not have to pay the difference. But if you didn't, then you will be charged the higher rate onboard.

Purchased Bottomless Bubbles for my kid's cabin at the $6.50 rate at 1:30 this afternoon. Just went in to check my purchase and saw the rate changed to $7.50 if I wanted to add it to my cabin.

 

We are post final payment, so it looks like the rate increase just took a day to apply to our bookings.

This is why I bring my own pop on board plus I drink Pepsi. I dont care coke or coke products. 12 pack of Pepsi will last me all week on a cruise. Free lemonade and free soft vanilla ice cream mixed half and half makes for a great copy cat Chick-fil-a frosted lemonade. these 2 things and some mixed drinks is all i need.

 

Never thought of doing the "frosted lemonade". I will be trying it this August though!

Wouldn't that be great? Maybe the $1 increase per day is to pay for the chip/cup those machines need. I can only hope!

I have so many of the insulated tumblers from Celebrity (no chip in them but they gave them to us with the package). They're decent and I don't want to throw them out because we do use them. I'm just running out of cabinet space.

lol, between my burgeoning supply of RCI drink-cups -- included with their soda package, even though my last 3 cruises (and one upcoming) have NOT had soda machines :( -- and my steady supply of Six Flags all-season drink cups, I've got sippy-cups for DAYS. :D
