Cozumel afternoon quandry

We are going to Cozumel on June 7, for the second time. The first time we were there from like 9 to 5. We did AI at Mr. Sanchos and had a great time and felt like we got our moneys worth. This time we are there like 12 to 10. Struggling with what to do. Many things close at 5. So a AI trip to Mr. Sanchos doesnt seem like it is worth it. Do you think we can get a spot in the pay as you go? Second, what is there to do after 5 since so many things close?

If you partake in the spirits, there are some great bars on the back side of the island which also serve food. One in particular is called Coconuts. Great atmosphere and adjacent to the ocean.

Put "late" in the search engine for this forum and you will see this question has been asked many times. You may find some suggestions that appeal in these threads.

If you are an all-adult group you may enjoy the Cozumel Bar Hop, if it runs to your schedule, which goes to the east side, (mentioned above) but there is no electricity on that side so bars will not be open late.

Personally I would hit a PAYG place for the afternoon, and end with dinner and a drink enjoying the sunset at Money Bar, Blue Angel or Rolandii's. Otherwise a local dinner in town, or enjoy the square and numerous bars around there.

Some hotels offer extended day passes, or twilight passes.

The only things that close are the beach clubs really. Lots of other options in town to explore. We usually do some sort of activity/tour/excursion first and then head to town for the remainder of our time in port. It's fun!
