Restaurants near Days Inn and Suites Galveston

Are there any restaurants in walking distance near Days Inn & Suites Seawall Galveston? We will most likely taking shuttle from Hobby to hotel so we will have no car available.

Looks like there are a few places within walking distance - but don't know anything about them. When we stay in Galveston we stay near the Strand. You might check with the hotel and see if there's a shuttle to and from the Strand, or you might check when you get there and see what a taxi would cost you to go to The Strand. Lots of touristy things in The Strand area.

We stayed in that hotel in April. Nothing in walking distance that was open. Sonic (fast food) is about a mile away. Be advised that Days Inn does not have safes in the rooms. We won't be staying there again

Not sure exactly where Days Inn is located; if you can give me address I can be more specific. On the Seawall there is The Spot (Hamburgers, sandwiches, salads etc), Fishtales (seafood) and Bennos (Cajun seafood) which are all pretty good. The Cajun Greek is on 61st but close the Seawall and serves up good food. More upscale there is Gaidos, Shearns (at Moody Gardens Hotel) and Rudy and Paco's (downtown). The best news is the Texas Legislature passed a law favorable to ride sharing companies so Uber is returning to the Island. Don't know exactly when they will return.

A missing piece of Galveston's charm returns NEXT Friday, June 2nd! The nostalgic trolley buses will run each day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and fares have been waived for the summer! The trolley buses will make seven stops downtown, connect to Seawall using 25th Street and will run from Stewart Beach to Moody Gardens along Seawall Blvd! A trolley bus will be by each stop every thirty minutes! 8712 Seawall Blvd. As a previous poster listed two restaurants I did verify those on a map. We are just looking for a decent place to eat and stay. Didn't want to break the bank when we'll be in the hotel for about 14 hours.

This trolley runs out on Seawall Blvd to

81st then to Moody Gardens and onward . You will be able participate in most attractions around town without a car.
