Nassau Atlantis Excursion or Discover Nassau Land and Sea

Has anyone done the Royal Caribbean Atlantis : Discover Atlantis Tour? We are trying to decide between that excursion or Discover Nassau Land and Sea? We are also open to any other excursion suggestions. We are first time cruisers and need lots of help!! Thanks in advance.

Atlantis is a hotel...not sure I'd pay money to "discover" it. You can go there on your own, wander thru the shops, restaurants and casino. You can't access the pool/waterpark area, tho. You have to PAY big $$$ for that privilege....

 

If you are interested in Nassau, then do that tour...

 

If you get a guidebook from your library on the Bahamas, it will tell you ALL there is in your ports....and then you can decide what interests you! Few things actually require you pay a guide to show you around. Nassau is a pretty easy DIY port..if you do your research!
