Nita.........................I got the willy's just walking through Imperiel Place to pick up a rental car. Although they did have a pretty good antique car display at one time, maybe still?

Great morning brunch, Paris Hotel Casino.

I visit a Harry Potter board.

Cruise Critic is it for me. I occasionally read another cruise board, but it's not as informative as Cruise Critic. My addiction isn't boards, though, it's email lists. I am on several: for herb enthusiasts, potters, soapmakers, glassaholics, etc.

I visit a Harry Potter board. As many times as we have been to Vegas (at least 50) we have never seen the antique car show, it is always on our list for the next trip. We have yet to try the Paris brunch, but next to CC I like Aladdins. There is always the Sterling brunch as Bally's for $50 plus a person: we just can't bring ourselves to paying that much. Sometime, when I hit the Mil, maybe. NMnita

I post on some professional boards. I'm also fond of discussing my favorite tv shows on televisionwithoutpity.

So is that televisionwithoutpity.com?

I would love to check that out. I have been to messageboards about TV shows like Trading Spaces, TV Land's rerun shows and even for Lifetime's Strong Medicine. But I don't enjoy those messageboards as much as I do cruisecitic. There are too many young foolish kids on those messageboards.

I also post on genoforum-which is a messageboard about genalogy too-another interest I have and that is mostly adults like cruisecritic-but cruisecritic is by far my favorite.

Is this a message board about research techniques or a way to find people who are doing research on the same family tree as you are?

It is part of genealogy.com and you don't have to purchase a membership to use the messageboard. The forums are differant last names. For ex. If you have Jones in your family tree you go to Jones, Williams to Williams, Johnson you go to Johnson and ofcourse if you have Williams, Jones and Johnson you go to all. I think I have posted on at least 8 or 10 of them looking for ancestors of both mine and hubby's and I have found out a few things there and just enjoy posting to others.

I am monagamous but do take a peek at others without posting. Is that like looking at someone other than your spouse, but not initiating contact?

As I said in opening the thread ,I do like to vent about my losing sports teams on their message boards and while not posting,I do enjoy visiting Rottentomatoes for the best movie info, theonion for laughs, and the Drudgereport for the latest rumors and info. And speaking of rumors, urban myths ,and to dispell erroneous email info and warnings, you can't beat snopes.com.

I also hear that there are provacative porn sites on the net,but of course, I've never found or visited any.

Don't even mention losing sports teams, we just suffered a double header this weekend: 1st Colo got slammed: totally unbeleivable and then the Redskins blew a lead in the 4th quarter for the 3rd time in a role, according to the TV announcers. We have no one left except USC to be proud of. NMNita

Is Gary Barnett still the football coach at Colorado?

No we do not cheat. However, when it comes to Las Vegas, we stay at the Mirage, which is a real class act. We always book a tower suite - which is only 1,100 square feet, and seems to be a real bargin. We will be there in May for my DW's birthday.

Other boards, football handicapping.

yes he is and Colo plays Texas next weekend for the league championship. I am glad I have a church luncheon to attend so will miss, at least part of the game. I would hate to have to watch the entire thing!!!! LOL

Gary Barnett was the football coach at Northwestern while my daughter was there, and I remember when he broke his existing contract with them to go to Colorado. I guess they made him an offer he couldn't refuse :)

At that time, Gary Barnett was golden because during their 1995/1996 football season, Northwestern was number #1 in the Big 10 conference (which actually includes 11 colleges) and played at the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1949.

I not only remember when he left cause the Colo coach went to Washington. Believe it or not, I remember when Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in 1949. The only reason I can remember is we lived only a few miles from the Rose Bowl and my dad had tickets to the game. No, I didn't go, I hardly knew what football was in those days. NMNita
