Cloud 9 Spa Cabin--Worth it?

I didn't say it ruined our cruise. I said it diminished our ability to enjoy the balcony. Several times, I came in from reading on the balcony because of the smoke. I can smell smoke just about anytime. I deal with it in the casino, because it is allowed there. I don't think I should have to deal with it where it isn't allowed.

totally agree and I am an ex-smoker. I quit for a reason and do not want second hand smoke. The reason you are not allowed to smoke in rooms or on balconies is the potential fire which is a really big deal on cruise ships and much more serious issue than second hand smoke......Do not smoke on your balcony!!

Any experience on the Dream as we're booked in 11240

I was in 11229 on the Dream and I really liked it. I wouldn't hesitate to book the same cabin again. It was the quietest deck I have ever been on and there is a staircase that leads directly up into the spa at the end of the hallway. I spent time there every day and even took all my showers in the spa locker room. The showers there were very large with multiple shower heads.

On the Dream, absolutely yes for us. On the Vista won't book spa cabin again. Our favorite part of the spa is the Thalassotherapy pool which is sadly missing from the Vista.

Sadly missing from the Sunshine also...

There is no guarantee there will be no kids. Children are allowed in these cabins just not in the spa.

We were 2 times in cloud 9 spa cabins, once on the dream and once on the Breeze. On the Breeze we had our son with us. My parents was with us each time, so we could enjoy the spa! Beside we work out a lot, and being close to the gym was also nice! Our son was 3 at that time. Never bother anyone, dream was inside Breeze a balcony with no roof!! The very up one, if i recall correctly it was deck 14!

The spa is WONDERFUL on the dream. Has the Thalassotherapy pool. The spa area is very nice. Quietest area we have ever stayed at. The elevator to the spa was a nice touch as well. You will love it on the Dream!

It is worth it to us to take a Deck 12 spa balcony just for the quiet location. We prefer the forward starboard balcony cabins on the Breeze because there are no inside cabins across the hall. Very little foot traffic and thankfully, no kids in that area.

I love the spa cabins and try to book one every cruise. When you compare prices, sometimes it's only a little more than the balconies on the higher decks.

Something to keep in mind when booking ... One time, we were beside a suite thinking that would be a great place. Wrong! There were kids next door that stayed out on the balcony and talked LOUD all the time! I could hear mom yelling at them through the walls and heard all kinds of secrets they were keeping from mom (did I mention how loud they talked and they never seemed to take a breath?!). The other downside for us on booking a spa cabin and traveling with friends who do not is that you don't tend to use the spa as much.

I was afraid of this also when booking and choosing the actual spa balcony cabin. There was one with a connecting room (heard never book these because of noise from next door cabin), one was a quad room for 4 (there are only 2 of us and didn't want to get bumped) and one room right next to a suite (something told me might be more people in cabin and noisy also). So I chose another one instead. Thanks so much for this information to confirm my suspicions [emoji16]

  • 6 years later...

We booked late and wanted a cove balcony on the Mardi Gras with adjoining balconies.  I loved it but my husband and brother used the T pool only once, my SIL went twice.    I was there almost every day.  I would not book again  unless traveling with a girlfriend.

Dream was worth it. The rooms need the color upgrade. My sister and I showered in the spa everyday.
