Same day transportation from Port Canaveral to Port of Miami

We are considering catching another cruise ship out of the Port of Miami later the same day we arrive in Port Canaveral.

Would appreciate suggestions on the best way to get down to Miami.

We are not opposed to renting a car.

Would it be easier to take the ship shuttle to Orlando airport and then catch a shuttle to Miami to the ship?

Going to MCO will add almost two hours to the trip (not including any wait time) which is not a good idea if you have a ship to catch that day. Rent a car!

I'm not sure what 'shuttle to Miami' you are thinking of ... the two ports are 200 miles apart

 

your only reasonable option is a rental car (unreasonable would be pay a limo)

 

your distance is around 225 miles ...... drive time around 3 hours

 

add time at the rental places on either side ..... I'd add 30 minutes EASILY ..... you need 4+ hours ....
