Lady Hudson Posted June 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2017 We just received M Life cards in the mail from a casino. Do these cards have any connection to RC? Thought I saw something about M Life benefits on these boards. Help me remember, please. Thanks.
Life is Good Cruising Posted June 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2017 We just received M Life cards in the mail from a casino. Do these cards have any connection to RC? Thought I saw something about M Life benefits on these boards. Help me remember, please. Thanks. Are they from Borgata? I received MLife cards the other day from Borgata. Called CR and asked if they partnered with Borgata, they never gave me a straight answer of yes or no. CR did say that if Bogata is under the umbrella of the MLife program, then CR would partner with them. She also said since the takeover of Borgata to MLife was just on 6/7/17, to give it a few days and then call Borgata and ask them.
Lady Hudson Posted June 10, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Yes, they were from Borgata. Any idea possible benefits?
Life is Good Cruising Posted June 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) If you're asking if we get any additional benefits from Royal or CR, the answer is no unless you're a previous MLife member. The benefits we would get in the envelope we received apply to MLife property casinos only. https://www.mlife.com/en/overview/m-life-tier-benefits.html A few years I went to Las Vegas and stayed at a MGM property and they converted my C&A status to MLife Platinum and I received all the Platinum benefits below. If you're already a MLife member and want to cruise with Royal, these would be the benefits Royal would give to you. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentWithGallery.do?pagename=mgm_partnership&cS=NAVBAR I hope I answered your question :) Forgot to add, we can't double dip in benefits when cruising, meaning, we can use either C&A/CR/Royal's benefits or MLife benefits. Mr. Click Posted June 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Since we now do winters in Las Vegas we signed up for MLife and then contacted their customer service for a better understanding of how the partnership between RCI/Celebrity and MLife works. Basicly you have to become an Mlife member and provide them with your C&A and or Captains club info. They then confirm your cruise line status and give you matching status in their program. We are Elite with Celebrity, Gold with Royal so we get an automatic upgrade to Gold with MLife. The best benefit for us since we live there all winter is free parking at any MLife property. omarchs Posted June 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2017 I believe the corresponding status match expires after a year since I received notification that I was downgraded in my Matched Mlife tier. Never called up to see if you can get it reset by calling or just a one shot and you need to earn the level back on your own.

jani Posted June 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2017 We are Elite with Celebrity, Gold with Royal so we get an automatic upgrade to Gold with MLife. A little unrelated, but just wanted to let you know that if you are Elite on Celebrity, Royal will automatically give you Diamond instead of Gold. You just need to contact C&A -jani

I've had the status matched for a few years now and I think one year the status changed and most years in October the status reverts back. I've had luck sending an email to memberservices@mgmresorts.com with my mlife and C&A numbers asking for the match if you don't need it quickly. I think it's a great benefit to be able to get Platinum (since I'm D+) for the free parking, express lines, no resort fees (in Vegas) and free buffets at the Beau (in Biloxi) Also to add it looks like currently total rewards is matching Mlife status in Las Vegas so it's possible to get "double matching" if you first have your RCI status matched with Mlife then match your Mlife to Total Rewards. :)

nelblu Posted June 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Thanks, I think I'll take advantage of the mlife to total rewards matching. "Total Rewards" is Caesar's loyalty benefits program.
Mr. Click Posted June 11, 2017 #12 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Thanks jani. I know we get Diamond if we are on a Royal cruise. we get that next May when we are in the Indy in Norway and Fjords. I don't think it works with MLife and I am not sure what level you get with Mlife for being Diamond. I am happy with Mlife Gold sinceit covers the parking when we do get down to the Strip for a show or dinner. I guess we will find out in a few months about the renewal. somerandomidiot Posted June 12, 2017 #15 Share Posted June 12, 2017 Commenting on your comment "M life to Total Rewards". I was responding to and thanking nivek82 for his double match idea (c&a to mlife to total rewards), which I quoted, so i still don't understand your comment to me. mprcruiser Posted June 13, 2017 #16 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Just an FYI. We are booked on the Liberty of the Seas and are MLife members. When I contacted the casino department of Royal to give them our MLife member numbers I was told that since we are booked in our TA's group we are not eligible to receive any of the perks that we would receive as diamond on Royal and gold on MLife. I was told that any points we received from gambling on the ship would count towards our MLife points. So, just be aware.

RFerrington Posted June 13, 2017 #18 Share Posted June 13, 2017 IMO. the benefits of the Royal/MLife reciprocity is more valuable to your land-based casino life than to your cruising casino life. I find the benefits of Club Royale to be more beneficial to me for cruising and the fact that MLife matched my D+ status to their Platinum status gives me some land casino benefits (free valet parking and food and room discounts, etc.) but really nothing for cruising. It's a win-win.
Lady Hudson Posted June 23, 2017 Author #19 Share Posted June 23, 2017 So . . , just got back from Borgata in AC. I took my last sea pass card that denoted diamond plus. With very effort I was upgraded to platinum. The benefit for us was free parking and bypassing the line at dinner -- about a half hour wait. My sister had her diamond status from Royal to gold for MLife. There are bonus points given if you are a slot player. Katherine
