fozzy1975 Posted June 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2017 i heard Bitter and Blanc is now back on the 6 night cruises and that some of the desserts have changed. Does anyone know if that is correct or not?
Gigi115 Posted June 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2017 We were on the Legend in April and had Bitter and Blanc. I did see some new desserts, but mostly the same things we've had before. This was an 11 day cruise may be why we saw some new things.
Rizzorp Posted June 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2017 I just got off of the Glory yesterday. No Bitter and Blanc :(
springs741 Posted June 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Bitters and Blanc is my all time favorite Carnival dessert. Since the evolution of the American Table it has been my experience that BnB is only available on 8 day or longer cruises.

CBuick Posted June 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2017 That is ashame Bitter and Blanc isn't available on shorter cruises. That and the chateaubriand are the two things I miss most from the old menu.

Rare Banditswife Posted June 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Didn't see it on our last 2 cruises-7 days each. Hope to see it on our 15 day in Dec, love the B & B. There were other good choices... just missed the B & B.
evandbob Posted June 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 11, 2017 B&B was on the Conquest 8 day in April. Last week's 7 day Glory had the Grand Mariner Souffle instead.
CBuick Posted June 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 11, 2017 We had the chateaubriand on the Legend in April. Cool. Was it the American Table Menu or the older menu? I would love to go on the Legend also. I like the layout of the Spirit Class. The Enchanted Forest definitly seems like a cool area.

bakersdozen12 Posted June 12, 2017 #16 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We were on the Legend in April and had Bitter and Blanc. I did see some new desserts, but mostly the same things we've had before. This was an 11 day cruise may be why we saw some new things. The Legend still has the old menus, which is why it has bitter and blanc. The OP is referring to the new menus, which previously only had it on sailings of 8 days or more. It appears that they might have brought it back for 6 and 7 day sailings (on ships with the new menus).
tropicaledrink Posted June 12, 2017 #17 Share Posted June 12, 2017 There is indeed a new dessert menu rolling out - so far I know that the Vista and the Magic have the new menu and it appears from this thread that the Breeze does now as well! CharlesKru Posted June 12, 2017 #24 Share Posted June 12, 2017 I personally dont like it, but it is a bread pudding with dark chocolate in the bottom. They bring a white chocolate sauce that they pour over it, and as you eat you meet in the middle with white and dark chocolate mixing... My wife loves this dish, and I felt I should warn folks who get it on American Tables ( longer sailings ) it is not the same dish as it used to be. She was disappointed because it had a bunch of nugget in it, not the right chocolates... She did ask for the original recipe, and they made her some on the last day. The whole table enjoyed them (except me, I just stuck to a cheese plate)
onegroundcafe Posted June 13, 2017 #25 Share Posted June 13, 2017 The elusive bitter and blanc. For my experience it is mainly on cruises 8 days or longer. I love that dessert! So glad I have an eight day coming up!
