Woke up in Skagway this morning and a fresh dusting of snow across the tops of the mountains next to port.

The Disney Wonder just next door

And the Emerald Princess at our bow.

Our ride has arrived, watch the Zaandam sail into the harbor at 6:30am arriving just behind a Celebrity ship. Zaandam is currently park where the NA was parked yesterday. These pictures were taken from our room at the Pan Pacific.

We didn't know this car existed- how do you book it? Is it much more than the cattle cars?

Look at the train excursion and then look for Luxury Car Excursion. The price was obscene and I thought I was crazy to book it. DH who is not a happy cruiser thought this was fabulous and the best excursion we have taken. This car holds maybe 14 to 16 people.

Includes Alaskan Beer, Wine, soft drinks and really yummy h'derves.

It is available only to the those chasing the North star.

It is only available:

1) through the cruise ship

2) and for HAL, only ships that stop in Skagway, not Haines.
