.DR. Posted June 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Just a head's up: The email says "Up to 45% off select spa treatments". A call to book revealed it's not true. The deal is buy three spa treatments, get the 3rd at 50% off. You'd think they'd have to honor what they advertise. We've not sailed Celebrity before but I'm guessing they will offer deals while on board, true?
Rare Cruise Raider Posted June 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2017 Just a head's up: The email says "Up to 45% off select spa treatments".A call to book revealed it's not true. The deal is buy three spa treatments, get the 3rd at 50% off. You'd think they'd have to honor what they advertise. We've not sailed Celebrity before but I'm guessing they will offer deals while on board, true? I saw the same thing but it was pretty much what I had expected so wasn't too disappointed. If they say 'select' spa treatments, I would think they are honoring what they advertise ... the third one is the 'selected' treatment. They will offer some deals while onboard ...the discounts will depend on how many bookings they have gotten to fill their available spots. You might be able to get a smaller discount but you may only have to book one treatment instead of three to realize your savings.
Mr. Click Posted June 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2017 So I am not the only one who walked away from that "deal". DW likes to get her hair done on sea days but our upcoming cruise only has two sea days so no way to get 3 "services" since she stopped having her nails done on the ship because the manicures were not holding up very well. Dawg74 Posted June 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We received this email to, the prices didn't seem to include a discount for the shore excursions or dining packages that we looked at either.
dutchclogs Posted June 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2017 Well the 'sale' is over now. It appears that for very many of us the pickings were very slim indeed. To the OP, as others say, there may well be offers on board depending on how bookings are going. In my experience, there is usually an offer for port days. Worth asking when you board. jshli Posted June 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2017 I was very disappointed in the limited and almost nonexistent discounts. There were only discounts on 2 of our 4 shore excursions which amounted to less than 5%. The discount on specialty restaurants was only for dining packages and we can get a better internet discount using our elite status. In the past, the discounts offered were actually 20%, with no exceptions. What a waste of our time!
