Finding drivers in Italy and FRance

We will be in various ports where I either want to rent a car or hire a driver in Italy and France. Porto Santo Stefano, IT and Toulon, FR as I want to go to some vineyards about an hours a way. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm reluctant renting cars in Europe with my husband at the wheel.;)

 

so either cabs....or hiring a driver.

I'm wondering how others get to the vineyards without a rental car. I can't stand cruise shore excursions.

I agree with you re: shore excursions. We took the NCL excursion in 2013 in Italy. I think, if memory serves me, Pisa in the morning and afternoon we bussed to a Tuscan winery. Very small. Had a sub-par lunch for the $220 per person price tag. IMHO.

Totally agree.

 

We have used Romein Limo in Italy but for the other ports you need to be willing to do some research.

 

We used a taxi company in several of our ports. They did a good job telling us what we were seeing, etc. But, once we got to our destination we were on our own (which suited me just fine - we had researched;) ).
