We headed up from the beach, because Susan and I had a flight to catch.

 

 

 

 

We headed up the A1A, stopping to get lunch.

 

Susan wanted Long John Silvers, so Long John Silvers she got!

We passed right by Port Canaveral

 

 

A Royal Caribbean ship was in Port.

 

 

 

 

The clouds got thicker as we headed in towards Orlando.

 

 

There is a stop for another trip.

We arrived in Orlando and checked in with Alaska Airlines.

 

 

We cleared security and waited for our plane from Portland to arrive.

 

 

 

 

It started to pour as we got ready to board. Susan's last look at the palm trees.

After pushing back, I noticed the Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle was waiting for us to vacate the gate.

Another Alaska Airlines company plane was following us. Alaska bought Virgin America and is in the process of combining the two.

 

 

Living in Washington State, Alaska is our hometown airline. Headquarters are a mile south of Sea-Tac Airport. #iflyalaska

We start our acceleration down the runway.

We flew out over Tampa area to avoid some thunderstorms to the North of Orlando.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After flying along the Gulf of Mexico, we angled Northwest over the New Orleans area.

 

I watched a movie, and when I took another picture we were over Colorado.

I got one of these nifty tablet things on board. Free for 1st Class (That us!) and $7 for everyone else.

 

 

Alaska allows you to text and Imessage inflight. Letting Mom know where were.

Utah is a State I still have to visit, but it was cool flying over it!

Flying farther, we followed the Snake River through Southern Idaho.
