fsa1155 Posted July 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Hello, I decided to splurge and spoil myself with a massage on my upcoming cruise. I have never done this in the past. I had to pay with my credit card when I booked the time. Do I tip the therapist? I didn't see anything such as a prepaid tip included with the price. Sorry for the stupid question. Thanks,:)
funinthesun1964 Posted July 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2017 I opted for a spa treatment on my cruise last September, and the price was shown when I signed up (on the ship). However, when my S&S card was charged, and I signed for treatment, there was a tip added in/included. I can't remember if it was 15%. I'm thinking it was 15% because I tipped the girl a few bucks extra and asked her if she would receive it personally. She told me yes, she would receive it. fsa1155 Posted July 4, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Oh Okay. I'd better check my credit card statement. I booked on line prior to my sailing date. I'll keep my eye out for a prepaid tip. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much. Not sure if the tip will be there in advance, or will be added on to your S&S card. It may work differently with booking online prior to your cruise? Maybe someone else can chime in. wtwien Posted July 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2017 A 15% tip will be charge to sail and sign card at the time of treatment plus the cost of the treatment and then there will be a credit for the prepayment treatment on your sail sign card Sent from my iPhone using Forums
wtwien Posted July 4, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Also you can add more tip when you sign the sail sign slip after the treatment. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sanger727 Posted July 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Unless you are dead set on what treatment you want you may want to cancel and wait until you get onboard. They usually have on board specials, especially on port days. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
easyboy Posted July 4, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 4, 2017 We usually give a cash tip of $10 if we like the level of service. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Forums mobile app

fsa1155 Posted July 4, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Thank you so much for all the info. It has been very helpful. I'm really looking forward to enjoying a nice massage since I rarely treat myself. :D
auscgguysgirl Posted July 5, 2017 #12 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We always book and pay for spa treatments in advance of sailing so we can ensure the time slot we want. They charge you in advance for the treatment only. When they bring you the receipt, it will have the gratuity added for 15% and an option to add additional tip if you wish to.
