NCL Escape Balcony Rooms

Recommended Posts

This will be our first time going on NCL and I was wondering which deck is better higher or lower mid ship. We will be booking a MiniSuite Balcony. We are Royal Caribbean cruisers and are not famaliar with NCL at all. However we are looking forward to booking for a late Sept cruise. Any input would be helpful. Thanks in Advance

The Escape only has stairs/elevators forward and aft. We always try to get a stateroom near an elevator on an upper deck. Always be aware of what is above and below you by reviewing the deck plans (rooms good, gym not so good).

Be aware that on the Escape, the balcony and minisuite rooms are exactly the same size, except that the minisuites have a a larger bathroom.

On NCL, the cabin class M<alphabet> are standard minisuites (lower alphabet better location). M<number> are special minisuites (large balconies, aft facing, family rooms, etc.)

We just returned from our 4th cruise on the Escape. We actually like to be on deck 9 or 10 so we can easily walk down a couple of flights to the 6-7-8 area where so many venues are. Of course if you want to be closer to buffet and pool decks that might not work for you. We have been forward, mid-ship and aft on this ship and never had any problems. As already suggested, look carefully at the plans for how far your cabin is from the two stairwell/elevator sections. Some walks especially from the forward cabins are pretty long....but exercise is good on a cruise so I try to take some stairs too!

Have a great cruise:cool:
