HCI Posted July 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2017 HI Thinking of travelling on the Golden Princess on the 21 Sept 2017, leaving from Sydney for 11 days travelling to the South Pacific, as it is in school holiday, does the Princess line attract many children, and if they do is there a limited on the children Many thanks
Rare MicCanberra Posted July 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2017 School holiday cruises will always have more kids on than other cruises. I am not totally sure if Princess has a child limit for the actual cruise but they do have a limit on how many kids get into the kid's club each day (first come, first serve). Aus Traveller Posted July 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2017 There is a limit on the number of children in each age group. Best to book well ahead. We were trying to organise a cruise for our extended family in school holidays and there wasn't space for the kids.
Rare Womble99 Posted July 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2017 We did a cruise on Golden this year over the Easter school holidays and to be honest didn't notice many kids at all though there was apparently a very large number on board as all sections of the kids club was booked out. Brisbane41 Posted July 16, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 16, 2017 I will have a ten year old child with me on Diamond Princess next January in the school holidays. I am happy to take kids on Princess, but as a word of warning some children can be very feral. Expect to see them hooning around the pool area, somersaulting into pools, pools being closed and damp seats in the atrium from ferals who have gone down into the ship with wet swimmers. I have already laid down the law to the one I am taking next year, but in all honesty I did find the childrens behaviour disruptive around the pool and too many of them when I was on the Emerald Princess in the January school holidays this year. My guess is that kids would have been in the hundreds back in January on the Emerald Princess. I also did a relocation cruise on the Golden Princess back in April and of an evening security staff were manning the doors to all the nightclubs with a cruise card scanner and preventing and children from entering the room.
