Cruisecare Insurance

Can just one passenger in a cabin buy the Celebrity Cruisecare policy or do both passengers need to buy it. We have a roommate situation in our group where one person wants the policy but the other one does not. I know we can buy an independent policy, but the age of this one passenger makes that a much more expensive alterative than the cruise line offered insurance. Thanks.

I don't know but the second person in the cabin may want to reconsider this. If person A and person B book a cabin together, each paying 50%; then person b cancels anywhere short of the 100% penalty phase - person A is going to be stuck paying more than 50% of the cabin fare. I don't think I would cruise without insurance with a roommate that thinks they may need it.
