EmilyAnn86 Posted July 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2017 My husband doesn't eat breakfast and I am a major grump in the morning so I am thinking it may be best to order room service each morning. We would probably want coffee for him and eggs, bacon, toast, and juice for me. How long does it typically take to arrive? Is there a charge? What is a good amount to tip? Wave61 Posted July 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Breakfast through room service is continental items only. You will have to leave your cabin for bacon and eggs. Either the buffet or MDR for those types of items.
deborahjo Posted July 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2017 You can always go down to the lido get what you want and bring it back to your room. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
coevan Posted July 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2017 The MDR breakfast stops at 9am, we have yet to make it that early, so the Lido is our only choice
teknoge3k Posted July 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2017 You can go to seaday brunch and get your bacon and eggs or whatever breakfast you want. It ends at 1:30.
Rare Saint Greg Posted July 15, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2017 If you like breakfast burritos, the blue iguana cantina is a good to go option. The line is usual short and the wrap the burrito up.

So if I can't get it through room service I might skip breakfast and get an early lunch. I am so not a morning person ;)

SCcruiser123 Posted July 15, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2017 We put out the breakfast door hanger for coffee and some pastries and use that delivery as our wake-up call. That carries us through until we can get dressed and out the door for a real breakfast. We usually enjoy breakfast in the dining room.

summersigh Posted July 15, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 15, 2017 I've heard folks say they order a BLT from the room service menu so they have bacon for breakfast. Someone said the write it in on the hanger for room service breakfast. :hot-beverage:

SkyPiglet Posted July 16, 2017 #15 Share Posted July 16, 2017 Here's the time service breakfast menu, courtesy of ZydecoCruiser http://www.zydecocruiser.net/menus/roomService_break.htm The menu is out of date. Sadly, the smoke salmon is no longer available via broom service at breakfast, it was my favorite:(. Unless you all know something I don't know... I am hoping! I do not, I just remember that least last summer on Conquest, the smoked salmon was no longer on the menu. I have heard second-hand that it was discontinued, but due to slight uncertainty was holding out hope;) EDIT: I found one posted by another member in a different thread. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170715/c145e5782e180ea4a6c7dc720b2ce8b2.jpg Edited July 16, 2017 by SkyPiglet additional info

Drazil65 Posted July 16, 2017 #19 Share Posted July 16, 2017 Run up to lido deck, hit the buffet and bring back what you want to eat....enjoy it in the peace and comfort of your cabin....;p
sanmarcosman Posted July 16, 2017 #20 Share Posted July 16, 2017 (edited) I second the suggestion you can order a BLT sandwich for breakfast and that would give you bacon. Order two if you like, they are included in your cruise fare. Edited July 16, 2017 by sanmarcosman

Senoj84 Posted July 16, 2017 #23 Share Posted July 16, 2017 There's always a breakfast for late risers until 12pm on the Lido deck. It's buffet and they do have bacon, sausage, cereal, pancakes, french toast, etc. The food varies each day, but it's good and convenient for people like me who don't want to get up early. EmilyAnn86 Posted July 16, 2017 Author #24 Share Posted July 16, 2017 is the buffet on the Lido deck typically crowded? Part of my being grumpy when I first wake up is not wanting to be around people. I only communicate in grunts and eye rolls for a good 30 minutes LOL And about how long does it take to walk from a mid-ship cabin to the buffet? It has been almost 17 years since I have been on a cruise so I don't remember how long it takes to walk places.

Hit one of the short lines. Blue Iguana for a burrito or the omelete station. You can get bacon and hash browns at the omelet station as well....and I take it back to the room. The main buffet lines are longer than I want to mess with. From midship..if you're towards the back you probably just have to hit that elevator and you're there.
