Shutterlady Posted July 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2017 I was doing a mock booking yesterday to see what the price would be if my daughter could go on the same cruise as us. When I was pricing an interior for 2 people (not the porthole, or the upper/lower ones) the price was approximately $770 per person. When I went back and priced it for 3 people in the same type of room it was around $825 per person. Why is it more per person for three, instead of it being the original price times three????? Zack527 Posted July 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2017 Was it the same exact room? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
AdGuyMG Posted July 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2017 During some peak, high demand times like Christmas and New Year holidays, summertime and spring break, the 3rd and 4th passenger rates will sometimes be priced higher than the 1st / 2nd depending on how a ship is filling up. I've seen this on other cruise lines as well.
Shutterlady Posted July 27, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 27, 2017 The price increase was before you even get to pick a room.
Rare broberts Posted July 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2017 The price increase was before you even get to pick a room. Prices quoted before cabin selection are for the lowest cost cabin in the category. So the price differential may be due to inventory changes. I.E. the lower priced cabins are no longer available. Budget Queen Posted July 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2017 That is the lowest triple room available. There are cheaper double rooms , lower category still in inventory. Go further in the mock booking and look at the code of room.
