Rare ColeThornton Posted August 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2017 I'm looking for room recommendation for the Stars. I looked under the room review but very few posts of the Star, Thank you in advance I think in order to give you good recommendations you would need to provide more info such as the number of passengers in the cabin, ages, budget, etc.

SoCA6ft5 Posted August 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2017 The Star is a lovely ship. As with all NCL ships, what they call a "mini-suite" is actually just a larger balcony cabin (no extra perks other than size). However on the Star the mini-suites are about 40% larger than a standard balcony. As always avoid rooms under the pool deck and over entertainment venues. Rare BostonGal35 Posted August 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2017 i avoid rooms that are directly across from teh stairwell/elevators, and i aim to get a room that has rooms directly above me and directly below me to minimize noise. i never book under the pool deck or the garden buffet. i also never book above the theater (while we are night owls, i often need a nap during the day which is when tehy are often rehearsing). Barb Nahoumi Posted August 1, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Beware of any cabin over the Bliss Lounge. It's bound to be noisy until late at night. Dh and I like midship balconies on deck 9.
garycarla Posted August 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 1, 2017 The best suggestion is to get an inside cabin and save money. or The best suggestion is to get teh 3BR villa and enjoy our cruise. I am guessing you are somewhere in between, but have no idea. Best overall advice on cabin selection is to look at the deck plan and try to have cabins above and below you. As to motion, closer to center and lower decks helps. Noise near elevators is rarely an issue. After that - budget and desires are the big factors. What are yours? spidybabe Posted August 1, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 1, 2017 We had balcony 11612. It's a regular balcony, but in the middle of suites, so the balcony is large sized. Near elevators and we thought it might be a problem, but it wasn't an issue. Loved that cabin. Safe sailing
