Pugs&Kisses Posted August 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Is there any way to see if it is a full cruise? We are leaving on the Splendor next month! (YES YES YES!) I would love to know how full it will be, since it will be mid-Sept. Is there any way to check?
tef43 Posted August 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Assume it will sell out and sail full. They always do.
Pugs&Kisses Posted August 2, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Oh, I am completely ok with it been full. I know that is how the workers make their money. It is more just for my curiosity.
bigdintn Posted August 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2017 You can go online and do a mock booking and get an idea of how many cabins are left!
okgirl Posted August 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Even if you do a mock booking you are only seeing a small selection of available cabins. Carnival ships tend to sail at capacity even after school is back in session. On almost every cruise I've ever been on, there is a sign at Guest Services indicating no vacancies. I suspect they indicate no vacancies to deter the crowd of people who inevitably swarm down guest services to request upgrades.

Micahs Grandad Posted August 2, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Do a mock booking if your sailing does not show up it is full. These days with cruiselines doing very well they pretty much always sail full
beachbum53 Posted August 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Probably the only way a ship would not be going out at full capacity is if there was a last minute cancellation, or a "no-show" on Embarkation Day.
poz222 Posted August 2, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 2, 2017 They ALWAYS put that sign out... it is basically saying "we do not do cabin upgrades here"! Yes, mock booking will give you an idea...
dmdiver Posted August 2, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 2, 2017 I think they always sail full, but yeah, if your cruise disappears when doing a mock booking, then you know for sure it's full.
John Reid Posted August 2, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 2, 2017 There are two types of "full." One is all cabins sold. As others have posted, you can expect that to be the case. The other is total passengers. A mid-September cruise will have fewer passengers because there will not be as many kids to fill the three and four bunked staterooms. A sell-out Spring Break cruise will have many more passengers than a sell-out mid-September cruise.
