bubbachief Posted August 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2017 We will be in Hong Kong Oct 28 2017 which is the Chung Yeung national holiday. I've read what it is, but not sure how it will affect tourist activities. Can anyone help?
Rare mking8288 Posted August 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2017 It's mostly, just another Saturday, some families will do their ancestral burial & resting places out in the "countryside", which could be religious temples & private facilities where ashes are kept since cremation is often used - you probably won't noticed MTR, trains & buses being more crowded than other weekends. Major tourism destinations aren't going to be affected - Ning Ping 360 to Giant Budda probably more crowded ... not so much with Victoria Peak & the Tram. First 2 weeks of October will be a lot busier with mainland visitors. Wong Tai Sin Temple (almost directly above MTR Station Stop) near Kai Tak's Kowloon Bay Station, will be more crowded than usual. In short, business as usual - not to worry.
