Rare mac_tlc Posted March 10, 2018 #1927 Share Posted March 10, 2018 We do not even have any news on Spectrum! From Royal Press Release at Spectrum ribbon cutting: Spectrum of the Seas is set to debut in 2019 and will be the first Quantum Ultra ship that will specifically be designed for guests in China and the Asia-Pacific region, and will feature cutting-edge and unprecedented experiences and amenities. mac_tlc Sent from my iPhone using Forums

WaveSplasher Posted March 10, 2018 #1929 Share Posted March 10, 2018 ^ I think he meant dates/itineraries. Deck Plans and Looks of the ship too All we see now its the engine unit that is currently being towed to Meyer Werft
Biker19 Posted March 10, 2018 #1930 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Deck Plans and Looks of the ship too It can't be that much different than the other Quantum ships - a few more cabins and some altered/different venues I imagine. Like other new ships, folks will have to book without all the details known.
LXA350 Posted March 10, 2018 #1931 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Maybe Spectrum and the 5th Quantum Class ship will both be specifically designed for the Chinese market as other cruise lines have done and will make it less easy to reconfigure the ship for Western seasons as can be seen with Ovation currently when it sails in Australia during their summer season. Hence I could see that Ovation, as aleady the case per 2019, will be withdrawn completely from the Asian market and Quantum will be either moving back to Europe / US or will take over the role of Ovation by using it in China for the summer season there and during Australian summer having it relocated to Australia as their 2nd Quantum class ship. Since same as on Ovation it only requires to get rid of all the Chinese crew and convert the high roler Casino into the Diamond lounge.

handbellplayer Posted March 11, 2018 #1935 Share Posted March 11, 2018 I see the Panama Canal cruises in February/March 2019 on Jewel have been added. We were hoping that the November PC cruises would be repeated in 2019. Do the spring cruises mean there won't be any more RCCL PC cruises in 2019? We can't take long cruises in the Spring. Regarding the fact that the remaining deployment is going to be released be early and mid of April, it’s possible to have Panama Canal cruises by late 2019 as well. ;) Further the originally scheduled (October 2019) Transatlantic from Rome to San Juan on Jewel has been cancelled, could well be she is the candidate for Panama Canal cruises. Or Vision again. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Oceansaway17 Posted March 11, 2018 #1937 Share Posted March 11, 2018 It is a shame that Quantum class is considered to be aimed at Asian market. I love the Anthem because of Two 70 and Seaplex as well as Solarium cascading pool. Do we really need 4 or eventually 5 Oasis class in USA. I mean Yawn zzzzzzz. Not listed currently but the most recent scenario I had seen was to Miami not San Juan, panama canal would be ok too for her

At least we get reciprocal benefits. Sigh....at this rate, we'll never make D+

I would love to that the Jewel canal B2B but to do it I would have to cancel the last of a string of cruises on the Vision and fly from New Orleans to Miami to get to it. I would not mind but it would extend our trip from 42 days to about 68 and that would be a bit long. The other option would be to cancel 3 of our Vision trips and come home for a coupe weeks in between. Between extra flights and non refundable deposits that gets expensive. celly Posted March 13, 2018 #1945 Share Posted March 13, 2018  We were hoping to book Oasis Westbound transatlantic fall 2019 but our travel agent just confirmed that plans are to finish the future Oasis dry dock on the way back to Florida instead of scheduling a transatlantic. So there will be no Oasis Transatlantic in Fall 2019. Very dissapointing news for all of us waiting to book Oasis back to USA fall 2019. Now waiting for news on Jewel Westbound 2019. And hoping it will not be priced as crazy as the last released transatlantics:mad::mad::mad:
