PattBenatar Posted August 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Care to elaborate? I tend not to click on suspicious links. I am not a natural born Cuban citizen so this does not involve me. Next time a brief info would be helpful if you want someone to click on a link. No I did not click on it, but did a search and found it on the cruise lawyer's page. Edited August 16, 2017 by PattBenatar

Next time a brief info would be helpful if you want someone to click on a link. No I did not click on it, but did a search and found it on the cruise lawyer's page. I'm honestly not sure what being or not being a Cuban citizen has to do with this. This link is a safe link to see if you're owed any monetary compensation for receiving a marketing phone call for a "free" cruise.
Moviela Posted August 16, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2017 This is an actual lawsuit to recover damages for making marketing calls without permission. Many of these class action suits that are approved by a Court provide huge sums for the lawyers and the class members get less than ten bucks or worse a coupon to spend more money with the defendant. This one could pay you up to $300 per call for up to 3 calls. It all depends on how many people sign up to be represented in the class. You will find out how many folks applied next April if a Court approves the settlement. It could be a nice check, or a buck and a quarter.

BIGREDIOWAN Posted August 16, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Well, my number was included in this lawsuit, I guess I'll go through with the claim and see how it goes. I remember getting a bunch of calls claiming I had won a "free cruise". It was annoying!

buddylover Posted August 16, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Both my husband's and my son's cell numbers were on there....although I have received those calls, my number was not. We'll see what happens....they were rather pesky, those calls! Glad to see someone is stopping them.

K.T.B. Posted August 16, 2017 #17 Share Posted August 16, 2017 I really didn't need to check, since I know my wife was bothered constantly by these calls, but our number is part of the suit. Cool. I'm not expecting much, if anything, but one never knows!
happicruzer Posted August 16, 2017 #18 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Thank you for posting the link. Saw this on the news and remembered lots of calls, wasn't going to bother, but..... Definitely on their list.
Rare pirate4me2 Posted August 16, 2017 #19 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Hubbys number was on there, but not mine. We filed a claim, we shall see what happens! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
panabiker Posted August 16, 2017 #20 Share Posted August 16, 2017 I do have my home number listed so I filed the claim. Although they say "up to $900", the real number is more like $300 or even less. Nevertheless, it makes a nice "beverage package" for a cruise.

estillcrew Posted August 16, 2017 #23 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Thanks for the info! Our cell phones were not on it, but our home number was, so I filed one claim. It was a very easy process. I'm with you, Panabiker, it will surely buy at least one cruise beverage! I'll take that!!

ScottChez Posted August 16, 2017 #25 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Got to wonder if this is just for gathering phone numbers so they can spam you. I entering my number, it was not on the list, Then entered it again and it was on the list. Seems random. If it said everyone was on the list then one would think it was fake news.
