Denise72 Posted August 24, 2017 #51 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Some of the negative reaction is the standard holier than thou moral police. The rest is just plain jealousy. We all wish we could have a way to legally skirt the rules, but some of us don't have the extra room to be able to do that. I admit it, I'm jealous. Go ahead, and more power to ya for finding the legal loophole. As for me, I will stick to my rum runners for now. (Oops, did I just stir the pot? At least they will leave you alone and attack me for a bit.)

Somewhere on a Beach Posted August 25, 2017 #53 Share Posted August 25, 2017 OMG I am so confused with this. What does the room assignment have to do with the CHEERS! program?? If I were to cram 5 adults into one room, would I only have to buy one CHEERS program????? Or is the real issue with the adults in w/ the kiddos? My head is spinning
sanger727 Posted August 25, 2017 #54 Share Posted August 25, 2017 OMG I am so confused with this. What does the room assignment have to do with the CHEERS! program?? If I were to cram 5 adults into one room, would I only have to buy one CHEERS program????? Or is the real issue with the adults in w/ the kiddos? My head is spinning If someone in a cabin wants to purchase cheers, everyone in the cabin 21+ must purchase cheers. Otherwise anyone who drinks less than 15 a day would justify 'well, my husband and I combined won't hit the limit so we should share'. So if you cram 5 adults in one room, either all 5 can purchase cheers or no one can. When you have multiple rooms and minors cruising, you can manipulate the booking to get around this. So if you have 2 21+ and 2 18 year olds sailing; you could get adjoining rooms and put the 2 21+ in one room and the two 18 year olds in the other room - or as the OP wants to do, put a 21+ and an 18 year old in each room. In the first scenario if only one of the 21+ people want cheers, you are out of luck. Sharing a room so both must purchase. In the second scenario, since the 21+ person is rooming with someone who can't drink, they only have to purchase one package. I'm a big rule follower and dislike people sharing - it hurts everyone. But this loophole is allowed, so by all means. As long as the plan isn't to share the one cheers, go for it. Canadianmama3 Posted August 28, 2017 Author #55 Share Posted August 28, 2017 To all those who were offended by question and thought I was doing something wrong and being a bad mother teaching my kids terrible things, lol, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. Hubby has decided to take an extended golfing trip instead of joining the kids and i on a cruise. So we cancelled our pride booking and I'm now looking at a 9 night out of Baltimore on royal instead [emoji16] But huge thanks to everyone who helped answer my questions. You guys are great!
