know this sounds silly but traveling with a large group and "on other cruise ships I always got to play bingo"

do you know if this in a generic activity RC does or is it boat specific or not offered at all?

I dont mind the "extra" because then its a decision to be made. If its not offered, the decision is made for us.

I've never been on an RC cruise without Bingo. It's a nice profit center for the cruise line.

What is cost now? Last time I played was 1996 and was $10 a card then.

It's gone way up. I think the last time I played it was 50 bucks? That might have been the package I bought...some sort of card that tracked the numbers for me.

I think $59 last month on Adventure for the starter set of cards, with a bonus set for another $10. They also have tablets that you can use to play that automatically mark the numbers as they are called. I don't get what fun that is, but I wouldn't bother with those anyway. Many people had problems with them not working properly. Honestly, I would have skipped bingo altogether if the kids hadn't wanted to play. They were "one and done" though and didn't express any interest at all when it was offered later in the cruise.

The house take on Bingo is absurd, to the point of being theft. I've never played but have been in the venue waiting for a show. 50-200 people playing Bingo at $50+ per person to win a $1,000 prize or a free cruise valued at $1,500. Odds are MUCH better at craps, blackjack, or roulette.

My husband and I always play the "Win a Cruise" Bingo session. He's won twice, in 2004 and 2016. ;)

Many years ago I won "the coverall" and won $1000.00. I've been hooked ever since !,and I still win(sometimes);)

Last cruise it was $66 for 3 games and one extra page for Platinum members. I did win $350 and they had 2 big days where they "raffled" off the Royal Suite and another suite.

 

Several years ago, on a RT LA/Hawaii cruise, I won $3400 on the last day in the Big Game. I was so lucky on that cruise, I won $1400 in the casino too. DH didn't want me to get off the ship! Hasn't happened again.

I used to be an avid bingo player on every cruise until they introduced those "machines" that play for you. How is that fun? I like punching out the numbers on the paper cards. I know you can still buy them but the machines hold twice the number of chances to win.

 

I still play on Princess where they use the daubers. DD won twice in one session on a cruise last year....first game and coverall.

Love bingo, and have played it on both of my Disney cruises, and have yet to win :( I'm planning to play on Adventure next year!
