LOVEMYMO Posted August 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2017 We are going to try JiJi's on our upcoming cruise to Canada. Would love to hear suggestions on what we should definitely order for both appetizer and entree. There will be two of us :) Thanks in advance! mumofsons Posted August 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2017 I honestly can't remember what we ordered but it was all delicious! DH wasn't as enthusiastic as myself but somehow he ate everything :). I also highly recommend going to the Havana Bar breakfast or lunch for their little pastries - so delish! Enjoy your cruise - we love the Sunshine
evandbob Posted August 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Try the duck entree! I assume you are going for dinner and not lunch.
cruzeluver Posted August 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2017 I'll second the duck. Not normally a big duck eater, but oh my it was fantastic! Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. The beef short rib is also melt in your mouth fantastic. For sides, the beans with pork were an unexpected surprise. Greta flavor with a nice kick of heat.
LibratPDX Posted August 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2017 I went solo so wasn't able to try as many items, but I went twice; in my opinion Jiji's is Chef's Table quality! If it sounds good, you will probably like it. I had and recommend the wagyu short rib, hakka noodles, sweet & sour shrimp, the hot & spicy potatoes, and the tapioca dessert. The drinks were yummy to but I don't remember the names.
JennN Posted August 30, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2017 We had a great first experience at JiJi's (on the Sunshine) but when we went on the Vista for dinner, everything was either too sweet or too salty. Typically, nothing is "bad" - all varies by what your heat and meat levels are (pork belly was amazing)
LOVEMYMO Posted August 30, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Thank you all for the recommendations! We don't like spicy food at all. Hoping that the description on the menu is accurate. What is the pork belly like?
VaTech8912 Posted August 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2017 I am am a very picky eater. I avoid seafood and spicy food ...I thought both the Pork Belly and the Duck Appetizers were amazing. I cannot wait to go back.
JayDeeJay Posted August 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 30, 2017 We've been twice now. It was fabulous! The dumpling appetizer was out of this world, I wish I could order all you can eat dumplings!
