LOL....here comes the condescending group who like to dogpile on people who dare to 'only' leave the standard 15%. Haha....amazing.

 

15% is not the standard tip anymore.... And the person I made a comment about was talking about sub 10%.....

The standard in the United States is 15 to 20 percent of the pre-tax bill.

 

That does mean that 15 percent is within the standard, and anyone "dogpiling" on people who say that that is what they leave is simply being elitist and rude.

 

It also means that 10 percent is below the standard, and anyone saying that that's what they give for good service deserves whatever "dogpiling" they get.

I had the same thought when I read that post. "I have no idea, but I think those longshoreman might make more than me, so I don't tip them a penny"

 

.....and actually....the other post that you jumped on with the other poster was in reference to leaving 15%.
