Skier52 Posted September 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2017 Has anyone brought a bottle or two of wine onboard MSC in Europe ? they will x-ray your baggage and hand-baggage and any bottles will be confiscated and returned to you on the last night of your cruise. Rare Beamafar Posted September 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2017 I bought a litre bottle of liqueur at one of the ports when on Meraviglia in June and brought it onboard no problem.
stoneman56 Posted September 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2017 I know NCL will let you bring it onboard but they charge $25 corkage fee per bottle, so maybe MSC have the same?
TrinaLC Posted September 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2017 We had several bottles when we boarded Divina about 6 month ago (Miami) and no one cared. I think given the large European number of pax, it isn't something the CL worries about as much.
Skier52 Posted September 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 12, 2017 I think given the large European number of pax, it isn't something the CL worries about as much. On the contrary This is the sign that you will most likely see when boarding at any port of call. There will probably an officer, from security, and a member of the crew waiting to take your bottle(s) into care for you until the last night of your cruise Pete
the_raisons Posted September 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 12, 2017 What about soft drinks and water, can you bring these onboard? thanks
Skier52 Posted September 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 12, 2017 What about soft drinks and water, can you bring these onboard? thanks the official policy is NO YOU CAN'T see on the link below, you will have to scroll down the post to see. but many people on these boards say they had no problems taking some soft drinks on board I think it is all down to how the duty security officer is feeling that day http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showpost.php?p=53212942&postcount=8 Pete
