online check-in for airline while onboard?

If you don't have an internet package purchased, you might be able to use HAL's last minute package that they have been offering on the last full day so passengers can do check-ins, maybe a 15 minute package. Otherwise there is always the per minute fee of $0.75.

caveat: this is on the ships that don't have the unlimited packages but have the packages by a number of minutes.

Last few years I've been buying Southwest Airlines' Early Bird check-in so I don't have to rely on the ship having internet access at the very minute I will need it. But for most airlines who only require you to check-in sometime during the 24-hr period prior to flight time the ship internet should be ok.... unless it's out, or the ocean is too rough to sustain a signal... or who knows what! In which you check-in when you hit land or at the airport. m--

Last December on the Koningsdam we tried their Luggage direct service. HAL checked us in and printed out our boarding passes. Then the luggage we placed outside our door the last night was taken off the ship and checked at the airport. We didn't see our luggage again until we landed at our home airport. So no more tracking down your luggage at the terminal, no more waiting in line with your luggage for customs, no more dragging your luggage to the airport or waiting in line to check you bags. It was awesome! We'll use that service again this December.

We used Luggage direct on our cruise last year in Alaska. Unfortunately when we got to SEATAC the bar coding on the print out that HAL gave us didn't work. We literally held up one check in line for 15 minutes trying. Fortunately we had an app on our iphone for the airlines and was able to bring up our boarding passes.

I have used that on Disney. The only caveat was that you had to use their transportation to MCO. What does HAL charge for this service?
