Rare cruisestitch Posted September 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Yes. We are re-routed to Curaçao and will probably have further alterations to the itinerary since one of our port stops is St. Martin, which now seems unlikely.

awhcruiser Posted September 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Yes....We are on the 15th sailing waiting for her safe return to Miami! Really praying the port only sustains minor or no damage and the hurricane goes farther east!

We are re-routed to Curaçao and will probably have further alterations to the itinerary since one of our port stops is St. Martin, which now seems unlikely. Good morning. Thanks for taking the time to provide updates. Real time intel is in short supply right now. We are supposed to be boarding after you get back on the 15th, but really wont know anything concrete until Sunday I'm thinking at this point. Unbelievable devastation happening around us, hope all of you on the Equinox stay out of harms way

One of our favorite beach/bar spots to go when in St. Maarten. Feel so badly for Simon and his crew. As mentioned in another post, there are many pictures online. CruisinNole Posted September 7, 2017 #15 Share Posted September 7, 2017 wondering thanks Yes, my 98 year old neighbor is on her right now. Considering that we are in Irma's path, he's probably better off.
ShopperSissy Posted September 7, 2017 #16 Share Posted September 7, 2017 How terrible for those poor people, my heart goes out to them We were just in this port on our Equinox cruise last week, just ahead of the hurricane. My prayers for all the people of St Martin, St Thomas, San Juan and Punta Cana. Praying this hurricane will head EAST and away from Miami and especially the gulf coast. MartinsCruise Posted September 8, 2017 #18 Share Posted September 8, 2017 We will now visit Martinique instead of St. MARTin on our newly revised itinerary . Thank you for the updates. We're sailing on 10/16 and will most likely have a revised itinerary so it's interesting hearing which ports you're visiting. Martinique is on my wish list so I hope we end up there. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 8, 2017 #19 Share Posted September 8, 2017 An interesting question....I have a friend on this sailing who is from India. Citizens of this country can't visit Martinique without a visa. So far he has received no instructions and is wondering if he will be allowed off the ship! Spender Nui Posted September 8, 2017 #20 Share Posted September 8, 2017 We will now visit Martinique instead of St. MARTin on our newly revised itinerary . If you like beaches take the ferry to Pointe du Bout which docks at the Meridian Hotel and use their or one of the other hotel beaches.
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 10, 2017 #21 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Well we expected not to go to our final Port -- Antigua -- but it does appear that we will visit Antigua on September 12.

dkjretired Posted September 10, 2017 #24 Share Posted September 10, 2017 has there been any word on whether the next cruise scheduled on the 15th will take place? No and I would not expect any until the storm is over and people get in to look at conditions.
Rare cruisestitch Posted September 11, 2017 #25 Share Posted September 11, 2017 On the ship there has been no mention of upcoming itineraries and there are going to be quite a few B2B guests who are waiting expectantly for news of which islands they will visit and in which order.
