Little Red Posted June 17, 2004 #86 Share Posted June 17, 2004 Sue, I'm definitely a Newbie to the Princess Board, although I've been a member of CC for not quite 2 years now. I've first read your post on the recent "The Fix" thread when the boards were down. I couldn't help but giggle a few times when I was reading your post and you reminded me of a poster on one of the other boards here. Please don't stop posting. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts and I think there would truly be an "empty space" if you weren't here to uplift all of us every so often. Even if it's just by making us smile. Keep it up. kimba595 Posted June 17, 2004 #90 Share Posted June 17, 2004 For a first time cruiser, and someone who is Type A to the extreme, I research everything, especially when I'm spending a good deal of money on something (ie. dog sledding). I appreciate all the opinions on these boards, good and bad, because it helps to "talk" to someone who has been there and done that. This trip is something that my husband won at work for being in the top of his division. This is probably a trip that we would never be able to have afforded. It's probably a trip we won't do again. Having said that, the posters in these forums have helped me make decisions about excursions, what to wear, what to pack, etc. I appreciate all of you!!! My husband thinks I'm a nut, but I'm just running with life! Sue... can you guess which baseball team we prefer... our miniature dachshund is named Fenway Frank!!! Layla Posted June 17, 2004 #96 Share Posted June 17, 2004 Sue - I'm a relative newbie to these boards and just want to let you know that I thoroughly enjoy your posts! We've been on 7 cruises so far (3 on Princess) and I've learned so much since joining CC our next cruise on the Star in December is surely going to be the best. I love your wit and humor -- and your smileys!

LunaMoon Posted June 17, 2004 #98 Share Posted June 17, 2004 Sue, Why so blue? Maybe "you're just having a bad day." (Sorry, I could not resist!) No one seems to remember how solicitous and condescending you were to Margeaux a short while back. A "newcomer" tried to express genuine unhappiness about her own experiences, and her feelings were reduced to a breezy cliche. She was given tons of advice, from all those with thousands of posts, to take a deep breath and be more careful about the manner and syntax of her communication on this board if she wanted to get an understanding response. And by the way, pride in thousands of posts eludes me; wouldn't you think that as the number of your posts goes up, your discomfort at how much time you actually spend in front of a sterile screen would go up to? But what could I possibly know about such things. I'm a newbie and I find all this personal investment quite mysterious; the subject here is simply trying to have a great vacation, isn't it? JanMD Posted June 17, 2004 #100 Share Posted June 17, 2004 I do have to agree with the previous poster. I don't think anyone will forget your manner towards a poster regarding a cruise that was not perfect. As the poster pevious said, is that all you do is sit infront of the computer screen and monitor the board.
