Voom Question

Recommended Posts

If I get a single VOOM package can I use different devices if I am not using them at the same time? Use my laptop in my room then use my phone outside of my room when I am not using the laptop? Thanks!

Yes.

I'll share a post I did earlier today on our experience on the Anthem. We sail a lot and always purchase internet on the ship to keep in touch.

Voom not too vroom

So,,,, they may get high apparent internet speeds using cache servers with smart pre-fetching of pagesbut for the advertised "streaming" and uploading of pictures, the system was miserable. We were unable to conduct Skype or FaceTime audio calls without significant dropouts.

I think that it is partly that the ship continues to sell packages, when they are clearly oversubscribed. And as more and more people are on the system, performance goes to unusable.

Yes, you have to remember to log off one device to be able to log on to another.

This may not be required.

On Grandeur, if one person was online, and the other person logged in, the new log in got the connection, and the other person was wondering where the internet went. :D
